The History of ABUAD

Afe Babalola University is a Nigerian private higher institution of learning founded in 2009. It is owned by a well-known lawyer and philanthropist, Barrister Afe Babalola.

It is located on 130 hectares of land at an altitude of over 1500 feet above sea level which ipso facto provides a cool and ideal climate of learning and sports activities.

It is the only university in Nigeria, which prior to the issuance of a provisional license by the Federal Government of Nigeria, moved to its permanent site and constructed magnificent College buildings and College Hostels, Staff Quarters, and equipped with modern teaching facilities including an E-learning platform and electronic boards within eight months.

ABUAD Student Portal

ABUAD student portal was created to be used by undergraduates, postgraduates, and university staff. To access the ABUAD e-portal, you must fill in your details to enable you to access the services provided.

Whether you are a freshly admitted student or a continuing student, you must sign up. The procedure is as follows; Visit the institution’s portal Provide the username and password.

The user name is the JAMB registration number. This should log you in if you are a continuing student. For fresh students, you must provide all the required information for profiling.

ABUAD UTME Admission  Requirements

O level Requirement – Five credits in not more than 2 sittings including English, Mathematics, and any 3 Arts, Social Sciences, or science subject.

UTME Requirements – Candidates must have a minimum score recommended by JAMB and also meet the post UTME examination requirements conducted by the University.

The acceptable UTME subjects are English Language and any other 3 subjects in Arts, Social Sciences, or science.

ABUAD Direct Entry Admission  Requirements

Possess the Advance Level of General Certificate of Education or its equivalent in at least two subjects. Possess a National Diploma in Public Administration and relevant courses from a recognized institution approved by the Senate of Afe Babalola University.

ABUAD Basic Admission Requirements for PGD Programmes

The criteria for admission into the PGD programme in Peace and Conflict Studies will be as follows:

  • Candidates must satisfy the matriculation requirements of the University including the English Language.
  • A minimum of 3rd Class Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies or a related discipline awarded by an approved and accredited University.
  • HND and/or professional qualifications cognate to Peace and Conflict Studies from a recognized institution with not less than upper credit.

How to Check ABUAD Results

To check your results on the institution portal, kindly follow the steps below;

  • Log on to the university portal, https://portal.abuad.edu.ng
  • Login with your details
  • Click on results
  • From the drill down, select check results
  • Select session and semester and hit the submit button.

How to Pay ABUAD School Fees

To make school fees payment online via the university portal, kindly follow the steps below;

  • Log on to the university portal, https://portal.abuad.edu.ng
  • Login with your UTME registration number and “password” as a password
  • Update all biodata and ensure you check through it all
  • Upload your passport photograph
  • Navigate to the fees set up
  • Choose your bedding option
  • The fee schedule will be displayed on the following page. Please note that after here you can’t change your bedding option. If you want to change your bedding option, simply back it and choose another.
  • Next is to click on payment and from the drill-down menu, select add payment
  • Next is for you to input the amount you want to pay and click on additional payment.
  • A payment invoice will come up which you may either print, take it to the bank and make payment with the transaction ID or proceed to make payment online.
  • To make payment online, click on the quick teller icon below the page
  • On the next page, input the transaction ID, your email address, and phone number and click on continue
  • Verify the details and then click on pay.
  • Input your ATM card details
  • An OTP (One time password) will be forwarded to you via SMS which you will be required to enter to complete the payment.
  • The transaction will be completed and a receipt will come up which you may print.

How to Register Courses on ABUAD Portal

Course registration may be done via the portal after school fees payment and Hostel allocation. It is important that you know courses to register for before going online. Here are steps for course registration;

  • Log on to the university portal, https://portal.abuad.edu.ng
  • Login with your details
  • Click on manage course
  • From the drill down, select course registration
  • Select session and semester
  • Select the courses and verify all before you submit them.
  • Print evidence of course registration.
